Shameless Promotion Saturday

Hello and welcome to Modern Reject. If it is your first or 1000th time here, allow me to say thank you for stopping by. I’m glad you are here. You look fabulous, by the way.

Since it is Saturday, a usually meh day around here seeing as I don’t usually post on Saturdays, I thought I’d spice things up. A dash of pepper. A pinch of humility. Thus, today is Shameless Promotion Saturday–a day for you to pimp yourself and for me to do the same.

First order of pimping business–Modern Reject’s splenderific Facebook Page. Notice how lovely she is, shining in all her dazzling Facebook glory.

I just thought I’d dangle her loveliness in front of you, in case you have not yet “liked” her. My Facebook page has a bit of a low self-esteem issue and she really craves your affection. So just hop on over and “like” her or better yet, like her right from the Modern Reject homepage. There is a fancy little Facebook box complete with a “like” button and everything.

She’ll be ever thankful and so will I.

Second on the shameless self-promotion agenda–Modern Reject’s Twitter page. I tweet pretty much everyday. I share random tidbits, weird observations, thought-provoking questions, and in general, brilliant nuggets of wisdom. It’s rather amazing, if I don’t say so myself.

If you are on Twitter, are reading this post, and have yet to follow me, allow me to say: What is up with that??!!!

Just do it! Do it now…before it’s too late. Follow my tweets! For the love!

And lastly on the pimp myself agenda, is the elusive yet devastatingly cool RSS subscription. If you are an Internet geek of any kind, you are already familiar with RSS subscriptions. If, however, you are like me and find yourself hopelessly lost, read this little blurb.

Basically, you can receive Modern Reject right to the blog reader of your choice or directly in your inbox. That way, you never miss a post and you help build my self-esteem all at the same time. Spiffy or what?

So there you have it, my shameless self-promotion on this here Saturday. If you are still reading this, let me just say “thank you” and “what the heck… don’t you have other things to do?”

And don’t leave yet, because it is your turn. If you have a blog or a site you’d like to pimp, ahem, I mean promote now’s your chance. Leave a link for your awesome sauce in the comments. Tell us what you’re all about. Happy Saturday!

  1. shameless promotion, blatant publicizing, flagrant marketing… my blog’s about synonyms and the english language; it’s a virtual thesaurus of fun, a dictionary of enjoyment.

it’s all a lie. i write about bacon.

  2. I love that you just “shamelessly promoted” your killer website! I love it and look forward to the subjects you blog about. You rock!

My site is a way for me to share my life and perspective, and hopefully encourage and entertain my readers. I blog about cooking, baking, sewing, lots of opinions and random-ness. I’d love for you to visit and let me know what your opinions are too!

  3. You know I’m always a sucker for self-promotion. :) In fact, this very night I was about to prepare a blog about using Google’s +1 button, RSS feeds, and sharing for my own blog!

    Great minds….

As you know, but others may not yet, my blog is about cats. Lots and lots of cats. Cats wearing clothes, cats getting into hijinks, cats on motorcycles.

    Blessings,
    Josh

PS. I lied. My blog is about faith, philosophy, living in Abu Dhabi (that’s the oil-rich city here in the Middle East), and whatever else that tickles my fancy. And as you might have heard, my fancy gets tickled a lot.

Just click on my name up there in Aqua (“Josh”), and it will direct you to my blog, I think. Come by with some coffee and a comfy book and say hello!

    Blessings for real this time,
    Josh

  4. Project:Mathetes.

Smashmouth Christianity, Discipleship, and covenant sonship. All wrapped up in a pretty, shiny package, with an attractive yet manly “salmon-colored” *ahem* bow on top.
(clicka on tha name and sees whut I meen)

I do not suffer liberalism, feminism, touchy-feely Oprah-ism, pro-abortionism, emotionalism, or people with too much time on their hands. I am here to be about my Father’s business, and His Holiness is not your version of His love, I guarantee it.

I respect Nicole, and you should too. Don’t let her silliness fool you. This chick is bada$$. Yep. You read that right.

  5. Just started my blog as well after writing for several years on my first blog, Muttering Behind the Hardline (www.mutteringbehindthehardline.com), about my experiences in the Foreign Service. I started writing more often on my Christian walk and decided the subject matter really warranted another blog. Sadly, I’m technically challenged and suffer from extreme envy of pages like Nicole’s, which are so much spiffier than anything I ever put together. I’ll figure it all out, I’m sure, sometime after my 80th birthday.

  6. Hi everyone,

My name is Stephen and I’m a software engineer. I also write a blog about Jesus. It’s more focused around discussing the basics of Christianity. I would love it if you were to pop over to http://thatjesusbloke.com, spend some time perusing and perhaps leaving a comment.

    Cheers,

    Stephen

      1. Stephen,

Visited your blog. Saw your “blogroll”. Read your post on “Coming out of the closet” and your confession that you are not sure if homosexuality is a sin.

        *sigh*

I had such high hopes. Sorry, sir, your blog is kinda weak. In my opinion, mind you. Others may find it refreshing and all that, but for you to wonder about one of the most base sins mentioned by God leaves me a bit flat. I wonder if you are actually reading The Scriptures or just relying on others to tell you what they think it should say. (Your blogroll comes into play here.)

Good luck, though. Cheers! I sincerely hope you have….success.

    1. I like the blog! It’s good to see people working through issues. Don’t let others get you down. I think it’s good to see you trying to figure things out in the light of the love of God and the driving force of faith. Keep up the good work.

  7. If you think getting your kids one at a time is plenty challenging, I laugh in your face. I got all three of mine at once, and my oldest is a scant 16 months older than her younger twin sisters. Talk about jumping into the deep end of parenting. Insanity!

Sooo…most of what I blog about is my kids, my life, and surviving being tossed into the equivalent of the parental Atlantic with nothing but an upside-down umbrella and a sextant. Come. Commiserate. Laugh hysterically at me. Share your own woes. Or thank God your kids are grown up. (Or that you don’t have any. Or that yours are marvels of beatific behavior.)

  8. Let me just say I wholeheartedly agree with the shameless promotion! I just recently restarted my blog (AGAIN!) and would love to have some (ANY!) visitors. My blog is about faith, parenting, autism (2 of my sons are diagnosed on the autism spectrum), book reviews, and generally whatever crosses my mind at the time. Just click my name up there and you’re in business!

  9. I see you don’t monetize your website, don’t waste your traffic, you can earn additional cash every month because you’ve got high quality content.
